FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT

Hello Choristers,
Things seem to be going well! This next week we will be meeting downstairs in our usual space, back to normal.

It has come to my attention that there is a small, but significant, typo on the Fall rehearsal schedule that was attached to the newsletter two weeks ago- our website address is ithacacommunitychorus.clarityconnect.com. I will send around a new rehearsal schedule when I have figured out the Thanksgiving week rehearsal, hopefully by next week.

Are you interested in helping to design/ put together this year's program? Last year it was done by Joan Costello of Voices. It would be great if a chorus member could take a turn this year, or potentially work with a VOICES member. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested.

We also are in need of Chorus members to help run the VOICES concert in December. This is a great way to mingle with other members of the organization (and a great way to see them sing). The concert is going to be at Lansing School.

Also, a few concerns have been raised to me: Foot tapping and viruses.
Tapping feet can annoy others around us, and when a number of feet are tapping, the room actually vibrates a little. So, perhaps instead of tapping feet, maybe people could sway or keep rhythm by tapping the air with their fingers...something silent. Also, if you are sick, and especially if you feel that you may be in the contagious stage of an illness, either stay home or sit in the back during rehearsal. That way we can limit the spread of germs within our ranks.

Oh yes! I hope ad sales are going well! They are so important to the well being of the chorus. Keep selling them, and remember- If you have sold an ad to a business in the past, they will most likely say "yes" again.

Thank you everyone!
Steph Meyer
ICC Chorus VP
