will give a choral workshop and concert at Cornell University on Saturday, November
3, 2007. (See http://www.northernharmony.pair.com/Zedashe2007/ for information,
pictures, and audio files.)
Both events are free and open to the public.
The choral workshop will be held in Lincoln Hall, Rm. B20, 5:00-6:00 pm; participants
will learn several Georgian songs. The concert will be given in Barnes Hall at
8:00 pm.
If you think you might attend the workshop, please send an e-mail
to John Rowehl at jmr7@cornell.edu, with "Zedashe workshop" in the subject
line. Or call or text him at 607-592-8820.
INTERFAITH MUSIC CELEBRATION
- Sunday, November 4, 3:30 p.m.
Interfaith Music Celebration, Sun., 11/4,
3:30 p.m. Come and enjoy a program presented by area congregations of many
faiths at First Presbyterian Church. Through the joy of music this community event
will bring us together in unity even as it demonstrates and lifts up our rich
diversity. Open to the public; a free will offering will be taken for ACT to distribute
to community service projects. The event will be followed by a time of socializing
and a light supper. (Also see the announcement in Thursday, Nov. 1 "Ticket"
in the Ithaca Journal.)
This is the second annual interfaith music celebration.
However, this event has a special relationship to the Ithaca Community Chorus.
These celebrations were inspired by the event, "A Musical Response to 911",
sponsored by the ICC in November of 2001, which invited choirs from the Ithaca
area to come together to help find some meaning in that troubled time.
MUSIC AT GRACE CONCERT BY LUSCINIA - Sunday, November 11, at 4 PM

MESSIAH REHEARSALS
The Cortland Messiah rehearsals have been changed to Tuesday
evenings from 7:00-9:15, due to some schedule conflicts with members of the chorus.
If any ICC members would like to join us, it would be splendid! The dress rehearsal
is Saturday, Dec. 1, 2:00-5:00. Performance is with professional orchestra, hot-shot,
magnificent soloists, good food and artwork afterward in the reception, and an
incredibly enthusiastic audience. Who could ask for more after a 35-minute drive?
