> MESSAGE FROM GERALD WOLFE
>
> My deepest thanks to all who sang with us last Saturday night. I felt it was a smashing success, one of our best (we did not peak too soon). There was definitely a transcendent quality to our performance. Enjoy the break, and I'll look forward to singing beautiful Mendelssohn with you.

> FROM A MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE!
>
> All that practicing on cut-offs aimed at clarity and the pronunciation of the words, observing Gerald's dynamic markings and his insistence on the tempo, and remembering to watch him (plus a bunch of other stuff) really paid off ! Your diction was excellent -- those exposed cut-offs might have made for scattered word-endings, but you were wonderfully precise most of the time. And following Gerald's dynamics made the pieces exciting and passionate. Our soloists and orchestra were top-notch, all contributing to a wonderful performance. I was sorry to miss singing with you, but sitting out front to hear the fruits of our hard work was especially gratifying! -- Diana Nathanielsz

> MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY CHORUSES HOST BED & BREAKFAST AS FUND-RAISER
>
> Consider hosting family members and friends of graduating students during the Cornell’s Commencement weekend (May 24-25, 2008). The hosts provide beds and simple breakfasts. The visiting families pay an established fee per night directly to ICC. The funds raised significantly contribute to supporting the Ithaca Community Choruses’ activities.
>
> Choose to host couples or singles – whatever suits your particular circumstances. Having guests stay for 2-3 nights with breakfast each morning benefits programs of the Choruses.
>
> Cornell’s graduation information booklet and the internet inform families of the B&B programs offered by the Choruses and other not-for-profit groups.
>
> Families have started calling for accommodations, so if you have questions or are interested in hosting for 2008, please be in touch with me. Many thanks.
