MESSAGE FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT

Hello Everyone!

Are you ready to begin the next season? Personally, I'm quite excited. I've never had the opportunity to sing Elijah, and now it's here! Exciting. There are a number of reminders and notices, so I will try to be concise:

Next week is first rehearsal!
Registration begins as usual at 6:15, Wednesday night. Please, come early, get settled, and perhaps help set up. Feel free to bring a snack for the table if you'd like.

Registration materials are online---and finally typo free. If you mail them out today or tomorrow, they should be in by Wednesday. If you are having any problems or questions about registration, please email me at: bellamayophoto@hotmail.com

The chorus has 23 used copies of Elijah for sale at $4 per copy. They will be available on a first come-first serve basis on Wednesday night. If you have already paid for a new copy, Kim and her helper will give you a $5 refund.

The new member reception is set for February 13! The board simply could not help deciding to give the party a Valentine theme.

Well, i think this is it. I hope so anyway. I feel like I'm missing something, but I have everything on my list. I'll see you soon!

Steph

RETURNING BORROWED HAYDN SCORES

Many thanks to all of you that returned the blue Haydn Nelson Mass vocal scores that we borrowed from Cornell. Unfortunately, not everyone did so. If you are amongst this group, please do not fail to return your score at next Wednesday's ICC rehearsal (30th January). I plan to return them to Cornell a day or two after that, so must have them by then. It would also be helpful if you could email me at <IthacaCommunityChorus@clarityconnect.com>, so that I know your intentions.

Many thanks
Clare Fewtrell
ICC&CS Music Librarian

NOTE ABOUT THE CONCERT CD'S

Due to computer malfunction there are two small problems with the recording of our concert:

1) There are 3 spots in movements II and III of My Heart Is Inditing where the recording had to be patched, missing very short segments

2) The first minute of the Chamber Singers' O Magnum Mysterium is missing

Repairs have been made the best they can. If anyone has sent me an order and wants to cancel it, please let me know (jdm9@cornell.edu).

Others who are interested in ordering tapes, please do so by Monday, Jan. 28 or at least contact me to tell me of your intention.

Thanks!

Joyce Morgenroth
