MESSAGE FROM GERALD WOLFE

HOMEWORK FOR 2/6: #1, 5, 9, 11, 12, 13.

MESSAGE FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT

Hello All,

Welcome back! If you are new, welcome to ICC! We sounded amazing the other night, and it was only our first rehearsal. Our last concert was hard to beat, performance wise, and I must say that we just may beat it this semester, if we continue at this pace. Elijah is simply exquisite.

Just a few reminders:

February 6th rehearsal is in the Unitarian Annex. The Unitarian Church is on the corner of Buffalo and Aurora. Enter from Buffalo St (not the main entrance!) and go up the stairs. Because the space is so different acoustically, it is very important (as always) to keep talking and whispering to an absolute minimum.

We have two more rehearsals left in the registration grace period. If you have any friends who are interested in joining, bring them along!

February 13, at 6:15, is our New Member Reception. Everyone is invited! The VOICES half of the board has also been invited, so it is a great opportunity to mingle with new members and the whole board of directors. Feel free to bring finger foods. The theme is "We love our new members."

Chamber Singers try-outs will take place after rehearsal on February 13. Try-outs are short and painless. We will be preparing 4 Mendelssohn motets, to be performed in a separate performance from Elijah. The concert will also feature an organ performance by the amazingly talented Gerald Wolfe.

Rehearsal CDs. Jim Myers should be bringing in our rehearsal CD's next week. If you did not raise your hand the other day in rehearsal, and have decided that you would like one, e-mail Jim: scortch44@hotmail.com

Check out the ICC Web site. Rehearsal schedules are available online, along with our fact sheet and information sheet. Visit: ithacacommunitychorus.clarityconnect.com

Diane Schwartz has also created a Google Calendar, which can also be found at our Web site. Add it to your bookmarks, and be one click away from frequent chorus updates. Thanks Diane!

As always, if you have any concerns, feel free to contact me. My email is bellamayophoto@hotmail.com, and my phone is 533-0075.

Be Well, Choristers (and get well if you need to!)
Steph Meyer
ICC VP, Chorus

RETURNING BORROWED HAYDN SCORES

If you have not returned your borrowed score from last semester to Clare Fewtrell, please do, so she won't have to run around town gathering them. E-mail her if there is a problem: cmf3@cornell.edu

FOUND SUNGLASSES

Someone left a pair of sunglasses on Wednesday night. You can claim them from Kim Kline at the sign-in table at next week's rehearsal.
