MESSAGE FROM GERALD WOLFE

HOMEWORK FOR 4/2: #22 (m. 34-78), 24, 38, 43

MESSAGE FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT

Hello Everyone!

Nominations for members of the Board are being sought, and elections will be held at our rehearsal on April 9! Please consider joining the Board, which meets one evening per month. It is a fun group and essential to keeping the Chorus singing. Contact your section leader to offer to serve or make suggestions of candidates.

Also, don't forget about our workshop with Scott Tucker coming up on April 5th! The workshop is open to the public, so bring your friends. This is a great opportunity to also get to know VOICES members and to try a taste of their repertoire. Registration forms are attached and also available on the Web site or from Diana Nathanielz at rehearsal.

Tickets for our spring concert are ready for distribution. Please pick yours up at the next rehearsal and sell, sell, sell!

Be Well,
Stephanie Meyer
ICC VP, Chorus

CHORAL WORKSHOP WITH SCOTT TUCKER ON SATURDAY, APRIL 5

Pre-workshop registration discount deadline noon on Thursday, April 3, 2008 = $25.
Registration at the door $30 for both sessions.
See attached registration form.

CONCERT CD FOUND

Joyce Morgenroth has a concert CD that someone bought and left at St. Paul's. The owner can email Joyce at jdm9@cornell.edu.

PIANO FOR SALE

Laurel Hecht has a Kohler and Campbell Console # 404155 Piano for sale. It was given to her parents on their wedding day in the late 40's. It has carved Queen Anne style legs. Rob Barrett at Ithaca Piano Rebuilders wrote the report below:

Case: Med brown burl walnut, book matched veneer. Numerous nicks and scratches. Finish is "blotchy". Music desks needs repair.

Action: Hammers grooved but filable. Action is functional but needs regulation. Keyboard in good condition. Music wire is intact and all original.

Pinblock: smooth and consistent. Moderate torque.

Piano is in fair to good original condition. It needs tuning and pitch raising. It should have approx. $500. Work done to make it playable for the next 15-20 years. Fair market value $650- $700.

For more information contact Laurel Hecht at 273-2120.
